Santa Clara County, CA – Representatives from St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy are heading to 15 law enforcement, fire and EMS facilities in south Santa Clara County this morning bearing gifts: fruit baskets, snack packages and a “thank you for all you do” to honor their care colleagues on National First Responders Day.

Executive leaders, physicians and staff from the hospital will distribute fruit baskets and snacks to facilities in Gilroy, San Martin and Morgan Hill throughout the morning.

This year’s event marks the seventh time hospital staff have made this gesture of thanks to their colleagues. A photo opportunity with Gilroy Mayor Marie Blankley, Police Chief Pedro Espinoza and Fire Chief Jim Wyatt is planned for Friday morning, October 28, 2022.

Gloria Dela Merced, RN, Chief Operating Officer at St. Louise Regional Hospital, said, “We work with our police, fire and EMS colleagues every day, but today we also take time to thank them for their service. We are all part of a team that brings better health for all in south Santa Clara County, and delivering these baskets is just a small way of thanking our partners in health.”
